It was originally supposed to be a weekend of Trico fishing out in the rolling hills and valleys of central Pennsylvania but, as we all know, sometimes despite even the best laid plans things can and do go wrong. I reluctantly had to jettison my plans at the last minute after injuring my foot at work on Friday. Rather than sit around and bemoan the fact that the trip was in the tank and there would also be no trip to the Upper Missouri River headwaters trout theme park this year either, I decided to once again avail myself of the local limestoners in the howling suburban jungle of my own backyard. The water temperature at 0730 hrs was 61F and the flow was slightly above average for this time of the year.
Enjoy it while it lasts. It's been a summer of delightfully cool weather, ample moisture and fine fishing. Some of the best since '03 & '04 if my mammary serves me correct.
